Equity for Community College Students

Equity for Community College Students | Background | Current Projects and Past and Related Projects

Equity for Community College Students is a research initiative at the Pullias Center to understand and improve historically marginalized community college students’ learning outcomes and opportunities leading to successful career pathways including increased graduation and transfer rates.

Background

The Pullias Center is at the forefront of research aimed at promoting innovative and effective approaches with the goal to improve equity in higher education. Our research and analysis working with community colleges supports students with a focus on historically-marginalized students to ensure access, increased retention and completion rates, and equity for all students in California and across the country.

Community college leaders and practitioners play critical roles in spearheading, facilitating and supporting systemic change efforts on their campuses. Their input and guidance are imperative to address the increasingly complex problems facing community colleges and community college students.
