Gabriela Torres (she/her/hers) is a Ph.D. student in the Urban Education Policy program and a research assistant at the Pullias Center for Higher Education. She is advised by Adrian Huerta in the Higher Education concentration.
Gabriela obtained her bachelor’s in Sociology at UC Santa Barbara and an M.Ed in Educational Counseling at USC. Her experience in navigating institutions as a first-generation Latina student inspired her to enter the field of higher education. Her career and research interests fall in areas that address college access for marginalized students as well as educational policy and research that addresses the inequities that impact students of color in higher education.
