Maria Romero-Morales is the C-CIDE Consortium Facilitator and a research project specialist at the USC Pullias Center for Higher Education. She manages communications, outreach, and network development with campus partners.  Maria is completing her EdD in higher education from USC Rossier School of Education, received her master’s in public administration with an emphasis in public policy from the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy and a bachelor’s in business administration with an emphasis in marketing from the USC Marshall School of Business.

Prior to joining the Pullias Center, Romero-Morales conducted congressional research for the United States Government Accountability Office, where she focused on surface and aviation transportation policy.  She also has over 15 years of teaching experience at inner city high schools and community college.  Maria is also an elected official for the City of El Monte.

At the Rossier School of Education’s Pullias Center, Romero-Morales is also part of the Digital Equity in Education and skate culture, and Men of Color research teams. Her professional interests include advocating for underserved, first-generation students, and their access to higher education.

Digital Equity in Education

Romero-Morales is part of the Digital Equity in Education project at the Pullias Center, developing and researching digital games and tools to engage students in learning about college, and studying the real-life impact these tools have on students’ lives.
