Lauren Irwin is a research assistant for the Pullias Center for Higher Education’s Promoting At-Promise Student Success (PASS) Project and a PhD student in the Higher Education and Student Affairs program at University of Iowa’s Department of Educational Policy & Leadership Studies.

Irwin’s research focuses on the ways whiteness and white supremacy shape co-curricular educational experiences on college campuses. Specifically, Irwin is interested in exploring how individuals make meaning of systemic white supremacy and work to dismantle white supremacy in their work, in order to create more inclusive and just educational spaces and programs. Irwin earned an MA in student affairs administration at Michigan State University and a BA in anthropology and education studies from the University of California, Los Angeles.
