Pullias is hiring: Postdoctoral scholar wanted for collaborative research project

Are you passionate about education research that’s closely tied to real-life practice? Would you like to be part of a multi-campus team, collaborating with researchers at USC, UCLA and Claremont Graduate University—as well as practitioners at Los Angeles Unified School District and Los Angeles Community College District—to improve public education outcomes?

Come work as a postdoctoral scholar at the Pullias Center for Higher Education, one of the world’s leading research centers on higher education, for an opportunity to take part in an innovative research project alongside Tatiana Melguizo, associate professor at the USC Rossier School of Education and an expert on community colleges and math placement policies.

We are seeking a postdoctoral scholar with strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills; experience working with large data sets; and a passion for using research to inform practice and improve educational outcomes for students. This postdoctoral scholar will join the research team for the Math Pathways Project, which aims to understand students’ course-taking experiences along their educational pathway from K-12 schools into college, with the end goal to identify promising pathways or interventions that may lead to students’ success in college math.

We offer a competitive salary and excellent benefits at a beautiful campus in sunny Los Angeles. The USC Rossier School of Education is ranked 10th on US News & World Report ’s list of best graduate school of education, and seventh on the publication’s list of higher education administration programs in the country.
