40th Annual Conference on the First-Year Experience to take place virtually on February 15-19, 2021
Registration is now open for the 40th Annual Conference on the First-Year Experience, which will be held virtually this February 15-19, 2021. The early registration deadline is January 13, 2021.
This conference is designed to provide higher education professionals a comfortable and welcoming environment to share their experiences, ideas, tools, and research critical to the learning, development, and success of first-year college students. It is organized by the National Resource Center for The First-Year Experience and Students in Transition at the University of Carolina, which serves as a trusted expert and internationally recognized leader for supporting higher education professionals in advancing efforts to improve student learning and success during their transition into and through higher education. The center achieves its mission by providing opportunities for professionals within higher education to meet, discuss, and exchange practical and scholarly information used to assist students. One such opportunity includes their Annual Conference on the First-Year Experience.
“The conference aims to promote a comprehensive and engaging community open to a diversity of ideas,” notes Jennifer Keup, Executive Director of the National Resource Center for The First-Year Experience and Students in Transition. “We welcome all professionals within higher education, including graduate and undergraduate students, to attend as we encourage all attendees to deepen their knowledge of the academic communities of which they are a part.”
The early registration deadline is January 13, 2021, and those who register early may receive registration discounts up to $240 off conference fees. Full-time graduate and undergraduate student discounts are also available.
