USC Pullias Center for Higher Education Debuts New Website Dedicated to PASS Project

The Promoting At-Promise Student Success Project (PASS), a Pullias Center study funded by the Susan B. Thompson Foundation, now has its very own website at pass.pullias.usc.edu. Information about the study had previously been integrated into the Pullias Center’s website alongside dozens of current and prior research initiatives.

“As the Pullias Center’s longest-running study, spanning more than half a decade and counting, the PASS Project deserves a dedicated platform to publish findings and keep stakeholders up to date on the ongoing research,” said Adriana Kezar, Pullias Center Director and PASS Project primary investigator.

The Promoting At-Promise Student Success Project (PASS), formerly known as the Thompson Scholars Learning Communities (TSLC) Study is dedicated to deepening understandings of how at-promise students (i.e. students from low-income, racially minoritized and/or first generation backgrounds) navigate postsecondary environments. The study has a particular interest in exploring the role of comprehensive college transition programs (CCTP) in facilitating student success at three University of Nebraska campuses.

Key insights that can be explored in depth include the importance of ecological validation, college transition programs, and a sense of belonging and self-efficacy. The briefs published are intended to guide policymaking for faculty, staff, and administrators hoping to support at-promise students.

The new website was developed by Qubit Creative with input from the entire PASS project team and the support of the USC Rossier Information Technology department.
